Rediscover this neighbourhood at the heart of Canada’s cradle of industrialization; home to the English, Irish, Scottish and French Canadians but with a long history of community engagement and a long beer history as well. We will explore beer and its different facets in the Pointe from micro-breweries to taverns, food and beer pairings as well as the history of beer in Montreal from its early beginnings in New France.
Drink and be merry while exploring the neighbourhood with a guide that knows their history and beer.

The history of Pointe-Saint-Charles, the Lachine Canal and New France, always linked with beer!
We walk about 3.3 kilometres over 4.5 hours. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for walking, with comfortable shoes. The tour is dense and the walking can be brisk.
Tips for your guide are not included. We tip the places visited, but feel free to tip them as well if you really enjoyed the stop, or make purchases of their products, or even come back to see them again or recommend them!
Although we eat on the tour, it is mostly snacks and the tour starts when you may already be hungry. Since we also drink a lot, we recommend not coming on an empty stomach. The tastings are meant to complement the beer, but unlike our other tours, we have more snacks than a meal and really focus on beer, history and pairings.
