Visit rooftop farmers while gazing at the beauty of Montreal’s urban landscape. Drop-in on eateries for several light courses that makes a lavish meal. Visit sustainable food production sites doing groundbreaking work in sustainable food, waste upcycling and urban agriculture.
Enjoy the wonderful feeling of being on a bike in Montreal while we cycle through Mont-Royal and talk about the history of the parks, the markets, and the green alleyways.
The locations visited are always changing and evolving but you can expect to visit two of either a plant-based protein production’s counter at the largest open-air market in North America, a plant-based Thai restaurant, a high-end vegan sushi spot, a restaurant that focuses on local in-season small farms food as well as a high-end vegan pastry shop. You will also have the chance to visit a food production site that varies from plant-based yogurt, kombucha, a tempeh factory, a workshop with a vegan chef, a fermentation expert or even a sustainable food scientist. We will end the visit in a local urban farm that specializes in viniculture, urban mushroom farms, waste upcycling insect farms or even rooftop beehives.
